A Meaningful Path
My journey to heal others began with healing myself. I was in my third year of college when I began to feel fatigue and have anxiety attacks. For years I was ill and had trouble with every day tasks. Fortunately, I began to discover that by regulating my nervous system with the Feldenkrais Method®, I could finally begin to heal.
I began to get curious about what kind of life I wanted to live. I dedicated time each day for practice of the Method and within time, ten minutes a day or less was sufficient. Along my path were many teachers and practitioners that shifted my thinking and empowered me to design the life I wanted. I quickly began to regain a normal life and now have a beautiful family, an active lifestyle and I am practicing and teaching the Method which helped me so much.
Life doesn't get more fulfilling than being able to share with others what may be the key to their recovery. We all deserve to have human dignity and the absence of dis-ease. We may have problems that come and go. However, with learning to regulate the nervous system within the Feldenkrais Method, we can remind ourselves that problems are temporary and become mindful instead of reactive.
